Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA premiered as a live television special starring Julie Andrews. The March 31, 1957 broadcast was viewed by more people than any other program in the history of television. In 1965, a new telecast starring Lesley Ann Warren was equally successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of Dreams Come True.

In 1997, the musical returned to television in a star-studded presentation featuring Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. CINDERELLA [ Enchanted Version] is inspired and adapted by that production.
