SMASH Productions of The Villages earned a reputation for high energy musicals, comedies and events in just four short years. We bring together the best talent in The Villages including singers, dancers, musicians, and comedians to create top notch productions of the 

Pinky Bigley – Maria  

Pinky is excited to be working with SMASH Productions after her debut with Broadway’s Heroes and Villains in September. Pinky was in the Broadway National Tour of Les Misérables (Eponine/Cosette) and toured Europe in Evita (Eva Peron). Other leading roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast (Village Musical Theatre), 42nd Street (Peggy Sawyer) and Annie (Annie). She sang with the New York City USO Troupe and continues to sing for local charities.  She has had so much fun working with the talented and energetic young actors during Sound of Music.  Audience won’t want to miss Pinky’s dynamic one-woman show “Divas Through the Decades” in January 2023 at Temple Shalom of Central Florida (tscfl.org). Lee F Mueller - Captain von Trapp

Originally from PA, Lee spent 6 years with the Opera Co. of Philadelphia Chorus and performed in various community theater productions.  Since moving to Florida 7 years ago, he has been seen in various Opera Orlando productions, and been a guest soloist with the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra. This past fall he made his Villages debut as Bill Austin in Mamma Mia produced by Pro-Am & KC Productions. Since then, he has performed in various benefit concerts including Mary Jo Vitale's MS Fundraiser "Elephant in the Room." This is Lee's first production with Smash Production and he is very grateful to Susan Feinberg and Bob Stehman for casting him as Captain von Trapp. Future engagements include The Innkeeper in "Man of La Mancha" in March 2023 at the Savannah, and Opera Orlando's production of Donizetti's The "Daughter of the Regiment" in April in Steinmetz Hall.  

Bonnie Williams - Mother Abbess: Bonnie has been active in community theater for 40+ years. She has performed with VTC, VMT, MIMO and as a featured performer with the Villages Pops Chorus. She has appeared in all the previous SMASH Productions including the three Nunsense shows as Mother Superior. She glad to be “back in the habit” in this classic musical. She also has worked set design for SMASH in The Honeymooners and in the upcoming Little Shop of Horrors. Along with her partner, Barry, she performs with Broadway & Beyond Entertainment.

 

Tim Casey - Max Detweiler

 

 Tim grew up in the theater playing his first role in Teahouse of the August Moon at the tender age of 11. Educated at Temple University, he studied as a Television/Theater major which led to a 25+ year career in corporate television before focusing on technology during the latter part of his career. Tim has appeared as Paul in the Villages Musical Theater’s production of Company, starred as Max Bialystock in The Producers and recently starred as The Beast in Beauty and the Beast.  With KC Productions he appeared in Les Miserables, as the Padre in Man of La Mancha, Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Juan Peron in Evita and played two roles in Sweeney Todd - Judge Turpin and Adolfo Pirelli. Tim also directed KC Productions Young Frankenstein, appearing as the Hermit, 1776 appearing as Edward Rutledge and Carousel appearing as Enoch Snow. He starred in and co-directed SMASH Productions’ Broadway Heroes & Villains.  Next Spring, Tim looks forward to Directing and appearing in VMT’s production of Spamalot!

 

Kathy Chelsey- Williams -  Elsa Schraeder

Kathy has been performing and choreographing musical theater since the age of 14. Here in The Villages, she appeared in Music Man, Crazy For You, Thoroughly Modern Millie, South Pacific, and Carousel. She was also Nickie in Sweet Charity and most recently, a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast. She is a board member, dancer and choreographer for Evolution She has appeared in several SMASH Productions Dance. This is Kathy’s first time in a SMASH Production.

 

Janet Maloney-Brobst - Frau Schmidt]

 

Janet is a National Credit Manager from upstate New York.  Her theatrical credentials are extensive at both the professional and charitable levels. Her performances include all 3 Village Squares, The Savannah including Center and other Village Entertainment venues along with neighboring communities. Janet has also served as Vocal Director for 7 musical productions.  She has had character roles in numerous Villages musical productions including Annie Get Your Gun, Music Man, Grease, Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, The Producers and, this year, Sound of Music. Janet recently starred as Alice Kramden in The Honeymooners from New York to The Villages for SMASH. Janet is also currently preparing future performances that will include Harvey, and Man of La Mancha. 

 

Denis J. Milonas – Franz

Denis is a 36-year Musical Theater veteran who has recently moved to The Villages with his wife, Kay. With more than 50 stage production credits to his name, he is happy to be joining such a talented cast and crew of dedicated Stage crafters with SMASH. He will be appearing in the Spring as “Patsy” in Spamalot with the Village Musical Theater Company.

Sherry Mistler-- Sister Bertha`

She has been a resident of The Villages for two years since moving from New Jersey. Past credits in theater include Susan-Company, Ensemble-Les Miserables, Godspell, Sister Berthe-Sound of Music. You can see Sherry playing tenor drum in The City of Mt Dora Pipe Band and The Villages bagpipe band, The Sounds of Scotland. In addition, Sherry also sings in and around The Villages as part of the duo, Pat and Sherry. She’s thrilled to be making her debut with Smash Productions and will appear in Little Shop of Horrors Spring 2023!

Holly Jeske - Sister Margaretta

Holly Jeske was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She performed on stage dancing, singing and acting from the age of 4 through 17.  She studied classical voice as well as tap, ballet, and drama. She moved to the Villages in 2012 and has sung and danced in several shows with The Villages Musical Theater and KC Productions. Holly has appeared in every SMASH Productions Show including the three Nunsense Shows as Sister Amnesia and as Snow White in When You Wish Upon A Mouse. She is also a member of Music in Motion and The Villages Pops Chorus

Marilyn Duncan -- Sister Sophia

She is thrilled to be returning to SMASH PRODUCTIONS as Sister Sophia.  Her initial appearance with SMASH was in Rhapsody in Rhythm.  She has performed as a soloist in the Villages with the New Horizons band, the Christian Chorus, Christian Chorale, various churches, and many women’s retreats.   She is also a member of the Villages Pops Chorus. Her singing and acting date back to high school where she was featured in numerous Musical Reviews. A native of Illinois, she had the honor of competing in the Miss Illinois pageant.

John Muller – Admiral Von Schreiber

 

John has been performing consecutively for 65 years in a variety of venues including radio, television, movie, musicals, notably Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, John Adams in 1776, Finian in Finian's Rainbow, Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof, Mayor Shinn in the Music Man and Emile DeBeque in South Pacific. He resides in the Village of Fenney with his wife Susan. They have six children and eleven grandchildren. John is very happy to be performing in this SMASH Production of The Sound of Music.

 

John Byers- Herr Zeller 

 

John has been in several shows since moving to The Villages in 2012. He has had roles in Brigadoon, Music Man, Crazy For You, and The Producers. After joining Smash Productions, as a Dancer in its Love and Marriage Show he had roles in When You Wish Upon a Mouse part 1 and 2, Rhapsody In Rhythm and The Honeymooners. Prior to The Villages, he was a Commander in the U.S. Navy, and a Security Manager at the Walt Disney Company. He also helped his wife, Barbara, at her Dance Studio in Tampa, Florida, which she had for 26 years

 

Paul Young -Baron Elberfeld

 

Paul has performed in a number of musicals in the villages. He also enjoys singing with "Bach with a beat", and performing with Evolution Dance Company. Paul enjoys a number of sports here as well.

 

Deb Barkelar - Nun

 

Deb fondly remembers singing with her family at the holidays to The Sound of Music when she was a very little girl. She's been singing ever since, and very proud to be part of this show.

 

HC (Helen Clare)- Nun

She arrived in The Villages in 2016. Hailing from Kentucky she has performed solo work since high school. Besides church choirs she has been a member of the York Singers (ME), The Yale Glee Club and The Lexington Singers where she performed with the Mozart Orchestra in Vienna. She was in Evita with KC productions, followed with Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, Carousel and The Producers. She also sings with The Village Voices and Pops Choruses and The Madrigals and Guys.

 

Susan Bartlett - Nun

Susan was hooked on theater after her first performance in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, so she followed that with Young Frankenstein, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweeney Todd, South Pacific, Carousel and Mamma Mia. She plays a variety of instruments in The Villages Pops Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, The Villages Concert Band and Celebration Brass Band, and plays golf and pickleball in her free time.

 

Patti Card – Nun/Assistant Director

Patti performed in several musical productions in Heidelberg, Germany while living overseas in the 1980’s with her military husband.  Moving to The Villages in 2010 presented the opportunity to revive her performance skills and she is excited to have been a part of The Villages Musical Company’s Brigadoon, Crazy for You, Sweet Charity and The Producers, Broadway Bound’s Sensational Sixties and Promises, Promises, KC Productions’ Cabaret and Les Miserables and SMASH Production’s When You Wish Upon a Mouse 2, Nunset Boulevard and Rhapsody in Rhythm. Patti currently sings in The Villages POPS Chorus and dances with the Orlando Magic Classic 407 and Music in Motion.  Truly living the good life!

 

Liz Dorsett - Nun

 

The Sound of Music will be soprano Liz Dorsett’s fourth musical, with her first being in 1968 when she played Bloody Mary in South Pacific at age 11. From 1980 to 2005, she sang with various bands and played many private parties and weddings all over New England. A few years after she retired from the band, she joined a community choir based in Rochester, NH and sang with them until 2019. While in the choir, she was fortunate to be cast as a housewife in the musical Damn Yankees. .Since moving to The Villages in May 2021, Liz has joined The Villages Pops Chorus and is enjoying getting back into singing again.

Carol Geiler - Nun

 

Carol is new to performing in The Villages. She currently performs with The Village Pops Chorus and sings with St. Vincent DePaul Church Choir. Back home in Connecticut, her passion was singing and ringing bells with The St. Patrick's Cathedral Choir and Diocesan choir with the accompaniment of the Eastern Conn Symphony Orchestra

 

Faith Giguere  -Nun

Faith has been in musical theater most of her life but this is her first musical in The Villages. This is Faith's 3rd time portraying a Nun. First time was 20 years ago in Vermont, second was 10 years ago in North Carolina.  Faith has also been in productions of Oklahoma, My Fair Lady and other shows.

 

Penny Kintz  - Nun

This is Penny’s first musical with Smash Productions. Since retiring to The Villages from Iowa 13 years ago, she has performed in Off Broadway productions, sings in Joyful Sound, in Loving God Mixed Quartet, God’s Echo Mixed Ensemble, and the Chancel Choir at Community United Methodist Church. At Drake University, she played viola in the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra and danced and sang in at The Des Moines Community Playhouse and in the melodrama Fireman’s Flame. She works part-time in the golf shop at Bonifay Country Club and enjoys swimming and making jewelry.

 

 

Chi Chi Stastny – Nun/ Dancer

Chi Chi has been a happy resident of the Village of Fenney for four years. Leaving the beauty of Colorado behind in search of a “new” life of nothing but FUN.

Her past accomplishments include working with many well-known stars such as Donny & Marie, Mel Brooks, Ann Margret, Gwen Verdon, Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge, Bob Hope and Betty White. And then touring with New York’s company of A Chorus Line. She left her exciting career in Hollywood to raise a family, and then “accidentally” found the depth and joys of her youth and place on stage again here in the Villages.

 

Lynn Weddle - Nun

Lynn was a voice major at Indiana University School of Music. She sang as a soloist and was in many stage productions. After moving to Florida 10 years ago, she has been a member of Toast of Tampa Show Chorus, a small acappella double quartet women's group, the music director of a very large bible study group, a church soloist and performed major roles in church productions.

 

Jill Cain - Dancer

 

Jill has been in a few musicals and has been a dancer for Evolution and Music In Motion. It brings joy into her life to be a part of these awesome productions.

 

Jim Cain--Dancer

 

Jim is a musician and was band member for several years and enjoys the performing arts. This is his first adventure to dance on stage. Hopefully he will get the bug and add more shows to his list.

 

Gary Kress - Ensemble

 

This is Gary's second production for Smash having appeared in The Honeymooners earlier this year. Gary has also appeared in Chicago, Promises Promises, South Pacific, The Producers, Judgement at Nuremberg, Tickets Please and Speakeasy the Musical. Outside the villages, Gary has appeared in The Odd Couple, Sylvia and Arsenic and Old Lace. 

 

BILL KRONE—Dancer

Bill, a former High School Principal from a suburb of Buffalo, New York, has appeared in sixteen Broadway musicals in The Villages since 2008. Featured roles have included Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Jigger in Carousel, Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, and Lank Hawkins in Crazy You. He is thrilled to be in his eight SMASH Production in the company of so many talented performers starting with the first SMASH USO Tribute Show.     Bill recently appeared as Ed Norton in The Honeymooners and will be Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors; As always, he thanks his wife, Martie, for her constant support of him in his theatrical adventures.

 

 

STUDENT ROLES

 

Emily Veri - Liesl

Emily is a 17-year-old Junior at the Villages High School. She started singing and dancing six years ago. She has been a member of the VHS Golden Girls and been a part of many school musicals such as Hunchback of Notre Dame and Curtains. She plans to pursue musical theatre as a career.

 

Shea Yael - Rolf Gruber\

Shea is a 16-year-old sophomore at the villages charter school. Shea has participated in shows such as Curtains as Bobby Pepper, The Addams Family Jr as Gomez Addams, and High School Musical Jr as Troy Bolten. Shea enjoys singing and musical theater and participates in plays and choir at his school. Shea is excited to participate in the show and is thankful for the opportunity.

 

Paige Ellison -Postulant

Paige Ellison is a 15-year-old homeschooled sophomore. She has been in many theatrical productions, including Gabriella in High School Musical Jr., Beauty and the Beast, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Lion King Jr. She enjoys reading, drawing, and writing. Her goal is to become a Disney Imagineer.  

 

Natalie Wolgamott -Louisa

 

Natalie found her love for the theater when, at six years old, she played Gretel in a production of the Sound of Music in Leesburg, Florida. She is excited to participate in this show again as Louisa! Since then, she has been active in her church music program, school choirs, and theater programs. Most recently she has performed in Beauty and the Beast and will perform in an upcoming production of Shrek the Musical.

 

Ian Wolgamott - Friedrich

 

Ian had a small role in The King and I as a young child and since then has found a love for musicals of many different varieties.  He was active in his church's children's choir and is now involved in the tech ministry of his church.  When not singing Hamilton songs, he is involved in his school's agriculture program.

 

Ethan Adams-Rae- Kurt

Ethan is a 7th grader at the Villages Charter Middle School where he is in all advanced classes and even takes advanced Algebra which is a high school class. Ethan has been on stage many times within the past 6 years, with SMASH Productions in a Disney Show and two Nunsense Shows and with a few different Production Companies within the Villages and in St. Cloud MN. Aside from being on stage, Ethan is currently a member of the VHS Swim Team, where he is training to perfect his free-style and back stroke.

 

Deslyn Furce - Brigitta

Deslyn is 10 years old and attends 5th grade at the Villages Charter School. She loves singing, dancing, and reading. Her personality perfectly mirrors that of her character, Brigitta. This is her first experience acting live on stage, and she hopes it is the first of many. 

 

Sofia Sallee- Marta

Sofia Sallee: Sofia is 8 years old and enjoying third grade. She is excited about her first appearance with Smash Productions. She has participated in the summer drama camp at the Sharon, performing in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians. When Sofia is not on stage, her favorite things include spending time with her sister, cats, and family, math, and golf. She is appreciative of all the wonderful people she met through this production.

Camila Santana - Gretl

 

An energetic and imaginative spirit, 6-year-old Camila Santana is making her theatrical stage debut. Camila’s enthusiasm for song and dance has long been noticed by family and friends. With a heart 3 times the size of her body and a passion for performance, there’s no doubt Camila will give her all to the role of Gretl von Trapp.

 

Isabel Santana - u/s Brigitta

 

Courageous, sweet, and the oldest sibling of three artistic angels, Isabel is making a return to the stage. A key player in Jenny and the Paper Pirates, Isabel is continuing to build upon her theatrical experience in the Sound of Music. A lover of art and performance, she wishes to thank her parents for supporting her as she explores her passions. 

 

Benjamin Keefe - u/s Rolf & Friedrich/Ensemble

 

Benjamin Keefe is honored to be part of the cast of The Sound of Music with Smash Productions. He is an 8th Grade Honors Student at the Villages Charter Middle School. He appeared as one of the Snow children in Carousel with KC Productions. He also appeared as Eric in Matilda The Musical at Ocala Civic Theatre, and as Mowgli in The Jungle Book Jr. in the school's theatre camp. Benjamin loves music, food, and spending time with friends and family.

John has been performing consecutively for 65 years in a variety of venues including radio, television, movie, musicals, notably Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, John Adams in 1776, Finian in Finian's Rainbow, Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof, Mayor Shinn in the Music Man and Emile DeBeque in South Pacific. He resides in the Village of Fenney with his wife Susan. They have six children and eleven grandchildren. John is very happy to be performing in this SMASH Production of The Sound of Music.

 

John Byers- Herr Zeller 

 

John has been in several shows since moving to The Villages in 2012. He has had roles in Brigadoon, Music Man, Crazy For You, and The Producers. After joining Smash Productions, as a Dancer in its Love and Marriage Show he had roles in When You Wish Upon a Mouse part 1 and 2, Rhapsody In Rhythm and The Honeymooners. Prior to The Villages, he was a Commander in the U.S. Navy, and a Security Manager at the Walt Disney Company. He also helped his wife, Barbara, at her Dance Studio in Tampa, Florida, which she had for 26 years

 

Paul Young -Baron Elberfeld

 

Paul has performed in a number of musicals in the villages. He also enjoys singing with "Bach with a beat", and performing with Evolution Dance Company. Paul enjoys a number of sports here as well.

 

Deb Barkelar - Nun

 

Deb fondly remembers singing with her family at the holidays to The Sound of Music when she was a very little girl. She's been singing ever since, and very proud to be part of this show.

 

HC (Helen Clare)- Nun

She arrived in The Villages in 2016. Hailing from Kentucky she has performed solo work since high school. Besides church choirs she has been a member of the York Singers (ME), The Yale Glee Club and The Lexington Singers where she performed with the Mozart Orchestra in Vienna. She was in Evita with KC productions, followed with Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, Carousel and The Producers. She also sings with The Village Voices and Pops Choruses and The Madrigals and Guys.

 

Susan Bartlett - Nun

Susan was hooked on theater after her first performance in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, so she followed that with Young Frankenstein, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweeney Todd, South Pacific, Carousel and Mamma Mia. She plays a variety of instruments in The Villages Pops Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, The Villages Concert Band and Celebration Brass Band, and plays golf and pickleball in her free time.

 

Patti Card – Nun/Assistant Director

Patti performed in several musical productions in Heidelberg, Germany while living overseas in the 1980’s with her military husband.  Moving to The Villages in 2010 presented the opportunity to revive her performance skills and she is excited to have been a part of The Villages Musical Company’s Brigadoon, Crazy for You, Sweet Charity and The Producers, Broadway Bound’s Sensational Sixties and Promises, Promises, KC Productions’ Cabaret and Les Miserables and SMASH Production’s When You Wish Upon a Mouse 2, Nunset Boulevard and Rhapsody in Rhythm. Patti currently sings in The Villages POPS Chorus and dances with the Orlando Magic Classic 407 and Music in Motion.  Truly living the good life!

 

Liz Dorsett - Nun

 

The Sound of Music will be soprano Liz Dorsett’s fourth musical, with her first being in 1968 when she played Bloody Mary in South Pacific at age 11. From 1980 to 2005, she sang with various bands and played many private parties and weddings all over New England. A few years after she retired from the band, she joined a community choir based in Rochester, NH and sang with them until 2019. While in the choir, she was fortunate to be cast as a housewife in the musical Damn Yankees. .Since moving to The Villages in May 2021, Liz has joined The Villages Pops Chorus and is enjoying getting back into singing again.

Carol Geiler - Nun

 

Carol is new to performing in The Villages. She currently performs with The Village Pops Chorus and sings with St. Vincent DePaul Church Choir. Back home in Connecticut, her passion was singing and ringing bells with The St. Patrick's Cathedral Choir and Diocesan choir with the accompaniment of the Eastern Conn Symphony Orchestra

 

Faith Giguere  -Nun

Faith has been in musical theater most of her life but this is her first musical in The Villages. This is Faith's 3rd time portraying a Nun. First time was 20 years ago in Vermont, second was 10 years ago in North Carolina.  Faith has also been in productions of Oklahoma, My Fair Lady and other shows.

 

Penny Kintz  - Nun

This is Penny’s first musical with Smash Productions. Since retiring to The Villages from Iowa 13 years ago, she has performed in Off Broadway productions, sings in Joyful Sound, in Loving God Mixed Quartet, God’s Echo Mixed Ensemble, and the Chancel Choir at Community United Methodist Church. At Drake University, she played viola in the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra and danced and sang in at The Des Moines Community Playhouse and in the melodrama Fireman’s Flame. She works part-time in the golf shop at Bonifay Country Club and enjoys swimming and making jewelry.

 

 

Chi Chi Stastny – Nun/ Dancer

Chi Chi has been a happy resident of the Village of Fenney for four years. Leaving the beauty of Colorado behind in search of a “new” life of nothing but FUN.

Her past accomplishments include working with many well-known stars such as Donny & Marie, Mel Brooks, Ann Margret, Gwen Verdon, Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge, Bob Hope and Betty White. And then touring with New York’s company of A Chorus Line. She left her exciting career in Hollywood to raise a family, and then “accidentally” found the depth and joys of her youth and place on stage again here in the Villages.

 

Lynn Weddle - Nun

Lynn was a voice major at Indiana University School of Music. She sang as a soloist and was in many stage productions. After moving to Florida 10 years ago, she has been a member of Toast of Tampa Show Chorus, a small acappella double quartet women's group, the music director of a very large bible study group, a church soloist and performed major roles in church productions.

 

Jill Cain - Dancer

 

Jill has been in a few musicals and has been a dancer for Evolution and Music In Motion. It brings joy into her life to be a part of these awesome productions.

 

Jim Cain--Dancer

 

Jim is a musician and was band member for several years and enjoys the performing arts. This is his first adventure to dance on stage. Hopefully he will get the bug and add more shows to his list.

 

Gary Kress - Ensemble

 

This is Gary's second production for Smash having appeared in The Honeymooners earlier this year. Gary has also appeared in Chicago, Promises Promises, South Pacific, The Producers, Judgement at Nuremberg, Tickets Please and Speakeasy the Musical. Outside the villages, Gary has appeared in The Odd Couple, Sylvia and Arsenic and Old Lace. 

 

BILL KRONE—Dancer

Bill, a former High School Principal from a suburb of Buffalo, New York, has appeared in sixteen Broadway musicals in The Villages since 2008. Featured roles have included Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Jigger in Carousel, Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, and Lank Hawkins in Crazy You. He is thrilled to be in his eight SMASH Production in the company of so many talented performers starting with the first SMASH USO Tribute Show.     Bill recently appeared as Ed Norton in The Honeymooners and will be Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors; As always, he thanks his wife, Martie, for her constant support of him in his theatrical adventures.

 

 

STUDENT ROLES

 

Emily Veri - Liesl

Emily is a 17-year-old Junior at the Villages High School. She started singing and dancing six years ago. She has been a member of the VHS Golden Girls and been a part of many school musicals such as Hunchback of Notre Dame and Curtains. She plans to pursue musical theatre as a career.

 

Shea Yael - Rolf Gruber\

Shea is a 16-year-old sophomore at the villages charter school. Shea has participated in shows such as Curtains as Bobby Pepper, The Addams Family Jr as Gomez Addams, and High School Musical Jr as Troy Bolten. Shea enjoys singing and musical theater and participates in plays and choir at his school. Shea is excited to participate in the show and is thankful for the opportunity.

 

Paige Ellison -Postulant

Paige Ellison is a 15-year-old homeschooled sophomore. She has been in many theatrical productions, including Gabriella in High School Musical Jr., Beauty and the Beast, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Lion King Jr. She enjoys reading, drawing, and writing. Her goal is to become a Disney Imagineer.  

 

Natalie Wolgamott -Louisa

 

Natalie found her love for the theater when, at six years old, she played Gretel in a production of the Sound of Music in Leesburg, Florida. She is excited to participate in this show again as Louisa! Since then, she has been active in her church music program, school choirs, and theater programs. Most recently she has performed in Beauty and the Beast and will perform in an upcoming production of Shrek the Musical.

 

Ian Wolgamott - Friedrich

 

Ian had a small role in The King and I as a young child and since then has found a love for musicals of many different varieties.  He was active in his church's children's choir and is now involved in the tech ministry of his church.  When not singing Hamilton songs, he is involved in his school's agriculture program.

 

Ethan Adams-Rae- Kurt

Ethan is a 7th grader at the Villages Charter Middle School where he is in all advanced classes and even takes advanced Algebra which is a high school class. Ethan has been on stage many times within the past 6 years, with SMASH Productions in a Disney Show and two Nunsense Shows and with a few different Production Companies within the Villages and in St. Cloud MN. Aside from being on stage, Ethan is currently a member of the VHS Swim Team, where he is training to perfect his free-style and back stroke.

 

Deslyn Furce - Brigitta

Deslyn is 10 years old and attends 5th grade at the Villages Charter School. She loves singing, dancing, and reading. Her personality perfectly mirrors that of her character, Brigitta. This is her first experience acting live on stage, and she hopes it is the first of many. 

 

Sofia Sallee- Marta

Sofia Sallee: Sofia is 8 years old and enjoying third grade. She is excited about her first appearance with Smash Productions. She has participated in the summer drama camp at the Sharon, performing in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians. When Sofia is not on stage, her favorite things include spending time with her sister, cats, and family, math, and golf. She is appreciative of all the wonderful people she met through this production.

Camila Santana - Gretl

 

An energetic and imaginative spirit, 6-year-old Camila Santana is making her theatrical stage debut. Camila’s enthusiasm for song and dance has long been noticed by family and friends. With a heart 3 times the size of her body and a passion for performance, there’s no doubt Camila will give her all to the role of Gretl von Trapp.

 

Isabel Santana - u/s Brigitta

 

Courageous, sweet, and the oldest sibling of three artistic angels, Isabel is making a return to the stage. A key player in Jenny and the Paper Pirates, Isabel is continuing to build upon her theatrical experience in the Sound of Music. A lover of art and performance, she wishes to thank her parents for supporting her as she explores her passions. 

 

Benjamin Keefe - u/s Rolf & Friedrich/Ensemble

 

Benjamin Keefe is honored to be part of the cast of The Sound of Music with Smash Productions. He is an 8th Grade Honors Student at the Villages Charter Middle School. He appeared as one of the Snow children in Carousel with KC Productions. He also appeared as Eric in Matilda The Musical at Ocala Civic Theatre, and as Mowgli in The Jungle Book Jr. in the school's theatre camp. Benjamin loves music, food, and spending time with friends and family.
